We welcome mission-aligned perinatal providers to join our collective!
More information on how to join will be added soon! In the meantime, read about our values & guiding principles.
Who is a good fit for this space?
If you believe:
- all babies are born innately good
- all parents are doing their best, and deserve compassionate, respectful care
- all parents deserve high-quality wraparound support in preconception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
- in parenting on purpose
- in responsive approaches to feeding, sleep & parenting
- in holistic, root-cause, inclusive, culturally competent, & trauma-informed care
- that we all deserve to be nurtured and supported
then you are probably a good fit for our collective, and we’d love to hear from you!
Reach out to us at: michigannurturecollective@gmail.com.
Who is not a good fit for this space?
- providers who advocate for the separation of the dyad
- providers complicit in obstetric violence and domination in birth
- providers who promote behavioral-based approaches to infant care (schedule based feedings, eat-play-sleep, sleep training, etc)
- anyone not firmly embodying the notion that every human deserves dignity, respect, and care
- anyone who exhibits discriminatory behavior towards a particular identity group
- anyone upholding societal norms of beauty, body image, etc., over health, recovery & well-being (i.e. for a postpartum “bounce-back”)
- anyone unwilling to acknowledge the colonial origins of harm impacting perinatal care, especially for marginalized groups
As part of our core ethos, we also believe in a growth mindset and the ability of all people to learn, grow, and change over time.
If you find yourself identifying with any of the above characteristics that are dealbreakers for us, but are curious to learn more about why we hold these values sacred and non-negotiable, we’d love to invite you to connect with us and/or attend an upcoming event or training.
